July 2026 Employment-Based Visa Bulletin Updates

This week, the Department of State (DOS) released its Visa Bulletin for July 2026 for July 2026.

Below is a summary of the employment-based updates, compared to the June 2026 Bulletin.

This month, the most significant development is continued retrogression and unavailability in the EB-1 and EB-2 Final Action Dates for India, driven by high demand that has exhausted India’s pro-rated limits. India EB-1 retrogresses by two months, while India EB-2 becomes unavailable for the remainder of FY 2026. Most other employment-based categories advance, including EB-1 China and broad forward movement across EB-3. USCIS continues to require the use of Final Action Dates for employment-based I-485 filings. The State Department warns that further retrogressions, or making categories “unavailable,” may be necessary before the fiscal year ends on September 30, 2026, although the State Department projects that EB-2 India will likely recover in October to at least the May 2026 cutoff of July 15, 2014.
