USCIS To Begin Accepting Premium Processing for OPT and STEM OPT Extensions

Today, the USCIS announced a further expansion of premium processing, now to include Form I-765 Applications for Employment Authorization (EADs) for Optional Practical Training (OPT) or STEM OPT Extensions. The premium processing expansion will be phased in:

  • Beginning March 6, 2023, the USCIS will accept Form I-907 Request for Premium Processsing Service from F-1 students who have a pending Form I-765.
  • Beginning April 3, 2023, the USCIS will accept Form I-907 Request for Premium Processing filed concurrently with a new Form I-765.
