AIC Fact Sheet: Immigrants in California (and Other States)

The American Immigration Council (AIC) has published a Fact Sheet with citations providing information about immigrants in California. Some notable facts include:

• More than a quarter of CA residents are immigrants, while nearly one in four residents is a native-born US citizen with at least one immigrant parent
• More than half of all immigrants in CA are naturalized US citizens
• Immigrants in CA have contributed tens of billions of dollars in taxes
• Immigrant entrepreneurs in CA generate tens of billions of dollars in business revenue
