USCIS Completes Data Entry of FY 2020 H-1B Petitions

Today, the USCIS announced that it has completed data entry of all H-1B petitions selected in this year’s lottery. They will now begin returning petitions which were not selected in the lottery, including filing fee checks. The USCIS indicated that they have no timeframe for returning the non-selected petitions. The USCIS also indicated that as they’ve done in previous years, they may transfer some selected petitions between Service Centers to balance workloads. Petitioners and attorneys will be notified if a case is transferred.
Weaver Schlenger LLP is still receiving receipt notices for selected petitions, so there may still be a chance for those who have not heard yet to learn they were selected in the lottery. Our firm will notify petitioners either way as soon as we receive confirmation.
