Wall Street Journal: Trump Administration Challenging H-1B Visas

November 21, 2017

This week the Wall Street Journal wrote about the tightening of the H-1B visa program.  As we have previously reported, no new regulations have been issued but whether it is the increase of Requests for Evidence (RFEs) or the additional scrutiny of visa applicants at the Consulates, U.S. employers seeking to employ H-1B skilled workers are facing more challenges currently than in previous years.

“The goal of the administration seems to be to grind the process to a halt or slow it down so much that they achieve a reduction in legal immigration through implementation rather than legislation,” said Ben Johnson, executive director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, to the Wall Street Journal.
