April 2014 Visa Bulletin: No Movement for Indian Nationals

March 7, 2014 | Tags: EB-1 | EB-2 | EB-3

The Department of State's April Visa Bulletin, released today, shows a smaller forward movement in the EB-3 employment based third preference category for Chinese nationals – one month. Indian nationals remain at a standstill. Many employers continue to file EB-3 visa petitions for Chinese nationals who already have EB-2 petitions approved to take advantage of this unusual shorter waiting period in the 3rd preference category. But it won't last forever. We hope USCIS can do the right thing and promptly adjudicate applicable adjustment of status cases in this connection before those EB-3 numbers may retrogress later this summer.
