Cheers to 10 Years: Honoring a Decade with Weaver Schlenger and Its 30-Year Legacy

This month marks my 10th anniversary at Weaver Schlenger, and I’m honored to celebrate this personal milestone alongside the firm’s incredible 30th anniversary. It feels fitting that the 30th anniversary is symbolized by the diamond—representing strength, clarity, and multi-faceted brilliance—qualities that perfectly reflect our women-owned and operated firm and the sterling team I’m proud to be part of. My own 10-year anniversary, traditionally marked by tin or aluminum, also reflects durability and adaptability—qualities that have shaped my journey here.

When I first joined Weaver Schlenger, I was pivoting away from a budding litigation career, essentially starting over in the dynamic world of immigration law. Over the past decade, I’ve been fortunate to learn from each of my colleagues, whose mentorship, collaboration, and unwavering support have shaped my growth both professionally and personally. Together, we’ve navigated the complexities of immigration law, evolving with every new challenge and opportunity, consistently blending strategic thinking with empathy to serve our clients’ best interests.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to grow from knowing almost nothing about immigration law to becoming a confident partner,  finding creative and practical ways to help our clients navigate the twists and turns of an ever-changing immigration landscape. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to connect with inspiring and generous colleagues (both within our firm and in the broader immigration community), deepening my understanding of the field and enhancing my ability to advocate effectively. Most of all, I’m proud to be able to show my children—two of whom were born since I began this journey with WSM—what tenacity, purpose, hard work, adaptability and compassion look like in practice. I’m grateful to contribute to a firm that not only delivers exceptional client service, but also champions women in leadership and fosters a culture of innovation and resilience.
