New Form I-9 Available for Use Now; Old Forms Expire 4/30/2020

On January 31, 2020, USCIS announced a new version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Employers may continue using the prior version of the form (Rev. 07/17/2017 N) until April 30, 2020, but are encouraged to begin using the new version -- marked “Form I-9 10/21/2019” in the lower left corner of the form -- now. Changes to the form are minor and mostly related to DHS privacy notices; they are detailed in the PDF document found here.
