Fiscal Year H-1B Visas Still Available

On December 7, 2010, the USCIS reported that as of December 3, 2010, approximately 51,200 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted. Additionally, USCIS has receipted 18,700 H-1B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees. While it is difficult to predict exactly when the full 65,000 FY H-1B visas for bachelor's holders and the 20,000 set aside for holders of U.S. MS and PhDs will dry up, it is likely that this will occur in January 2011 or even by year end.
