Being an immigrant herself inspired Ms. Peng to pursue a career in immigration law. Originally from China, Ms. Peng intimately understands the stress and challenges of navigating the complex U.S. immigration system, and thrives on making this process smoother for her clients. She enjoys the practice of immigration law because it allows her to make a positive impact on other people in achieving greater personal and professional goals.
Ms. Peng works on all aspects of business immigration law, including H-1B, L-1 and E-3 nonimmigrant visas, as well as family-based cases. Ms. Peng has experience in responding to complex Requests for Evidence (RFEs). Prior to joining Weaver Schlenger LLP, Ms. Peng worked as an associate attorney with a San Francisco boutique immigration firm, and as an associate attorney with a general business firm in Chicago, where she worked on different types of immigration cases and negotiated commercial contracts and leases, and represented corporate clients before administrative agencies, including wage and hour investigations before the Department of Labor.
Education: Chicago-Kent College of Law, Chicago, IL, J.D. magna cum laude (2014); University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, B.A. in Statistics with high distinction (2011).
