Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence and Empowerment with Weaver Schlenger

As we celebrate Weaver Schlenger LLP’s 30th anniversary, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought us to this moment. For thirty years, we have committed to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. We have evolved as a firm by embracing technological advancements. We have grown together as a team, celebrating the unique blend of talents and personalities that make us who we are.
This reflection feels especially poignant following Women’s History Month. I am profoundly grateful to be part of a women-owned firm that has consistently championed mentorship, collaboration, and empowerment. I originally joined this firm aspiring to grow as an attorney, and what I found was a community led by two brilliant, generous women who lifted me up, guided me, and believed in me. These remarkable mentors didn’t just teach me professional development—they inspired me with their leadership and resilience. To stand alongside these women as a partner today is one of the greatest honors of my career.
Just as she has mentored countless attorneys and paralegals before me, Kirsten Schlenger was the first to challenge me to take ownership of my professional development. Kirsten taught me to campaign for speaking positions at both the local and national levels. It was Kirsten who told me over 7 years ago that I needed to create my own network of peers across the country and sent me off to recruit a group from among the brightest and most ambitious attorneys I know- my Practice Management Partners. On the other hand, it was Mary Jane Weaver who instilled in me the confidence to be proud of my business immigration practice and talk about it with everyone I know (every chance I get!) I always have a blast as her “wingman” as we attend annual fundraisers and other networking events together. As an introvert, I still try to channel Mary Jane’s social butterfly persona in any social setting.
As we look to the future, I am filled with excitement and hope. The foundation of mentorship and excellence that has carried us through three decades will continue to guide us as we embrace new challenges and opportunities. Here’s to the next 30 years of breaking barriers, achieving great things, and lifting each other higher and brighter. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey—you are what makes this firm truly extraordinary.
