Katy Lopez Promoted to Senior Associate

Weaver Schlenger LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Katy Lopez to Senior Associate. Katy joined Weaver Schlenger in 2011 and leads our I-9 and E-Verify practice. She also possesses extensive experience counseling publicly traded entities, midsized companies, nonprofit organizations and startup ventures to secure nonimmigrant visas and permanent residency for foreign national employees. Katy served for five years as Media Coordinator for the 700-member Northern California chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA NorCal), and is a member of the Northern California delegation of the nonprofit American Immigration Council (AIC). Katy lectures frequently on business immigration topics. In 2013 and 2014, Super Lawyer recognized Katy as a Rising Star in Northern California. Katy has been practicing immigration law since 2008, following a career as a journalist.
Katy was awarded her law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law and is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
