Kirsten Schlenger Returns to China
April 5, 2011
WSM Partner Kirsten Schlenger recently returned from a productive immigration business trip to Shanghai, 20 years after her last visit to China. Kirsten met with the Shanghai U.S. Consulate's Section Chief for Nonimmigrant Visas; visited the Shanghai office of a Bay Area high tech client; and attended the International Network of Boutique Law Firms' presentation on Shanghai's growth strategy and how to develop responsibly while addressing the needs of the community and the environment. Says Kirsten, who was an East Asian Studies major at Yale University and a Chinese Studies student at Chinese University of Hong Kong, "The energy and excitement in Shanghai rival that experienced in Silicon Valley 2000, when anything and everything was possible."
