Katy Chase works with corporations, universities and research institutes to attain H, L and O nonimmigrant visas for foreign national employees and scholars. She finds her journalism background particularly useful when securing permanent residency for foreign nationals based on their outstanding research, extraordinary ability, or work in the national interest. Ms. Chase also helps employers meet their immigration compliance responsibilities through her specialization in the I-9 and E-Verify areas. She has three years’ experience in employment- and family-based immigration.
Ms. Chase currently serves as Media Coordinator for the Northern California chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA NorCal), a position she has held since 2009. She is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2003. Ms. Chase was awarded her law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2008. She is fluent in Spanish.
