Weaver, Schlenger & Mazel hosted a fundraiser for the American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF) on October 11, 2007, at the home of Mary Jane Weaver.

AILF is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public understanding of immigration law and policy and the value of immigration to American society.  Partner Kirsten Schlenger has been a member of the executive board of AILF for eight years.  Some of AILF’s projects include: The Immigration Policy Center, The Curriculum Center, and the Annual Immigration Achievement Awards.

Because AILF is funded solely through donations from individuals and corporations, WSM was proud to have helped fundraise for this important organization.  More than 80 guests were in attendance to learn more about AILF and listen to Benjamin Johnson, Executive Director of AILF, speak.  The topic of his talk was “From Rhetoric to Reality: Understanding Immigrations and Immigration in America.”  Mr. Johnson has testified before Congress on behalf of the Foundation and has made numerous appearances on national radio and television.
