Kirsten Schlenger Named Chair of AILA National Business Litigation Commitee

Effective January 2009, Kirsten Schlenger has been named as chair of the American Immigration Lawyer Association's (AILA) national Business Litigation Committee. As chair, Ms. Schlenger works with national law firms to recruit attorneys and firms to handle pro bono impact litigation in the immigration field. The committee works with AILA's FOIA (Freedom of Information Act), Business Immigration, and Amicus committees to identify issues that deserve national attention and resolution through impact litigation.

Stephanie Corinna Smith
Has Joined The Firm

Associate Stephanie Corinna Smith handles both employment-based and family-based immigration and naturalization cases. Ms. Smith has litigated family-based adjustment of status, asylum, and cancellation of removal cases, both in immigration court and at the appellate level. Ms. Smith has also defended criminal cases in state and federal court and advises on the impact criminal convictions have in the immigration context.

Congratulations to Partner, Kirsten Schlenger for once again being named a Super Lawyer in 2008.
